If your hosting account is entitled to a free doamin, and you do not pay your hosting renewal fee on time, you will be charged a Redemption Renewal Fee. The Redemption Renewal Fee, charged by our domain registrar, can be as much as $160.00, and is required in order for us to renew any expired domain.
We send out invoice notices 15 days before hosting accounts renew. Although you have an additional 5 days after the due date to pay the invoice, we do not renew domain names until payment is received. The 5 day grace period only prevents your hosting account from being automatically suspended by the system on the invoice due date. Unfortunately, if your account has a free domain name, the grace period does little to prevent domain expiration. This is way it is important for anyone who has a free domain account to pay their invoice[s] on time to avoid any issues.
